1. El caso de la pantalla mas grande habrían 2 cosas que seria en el mugen plus y el mugen 1.0
Mugen plus: La única forma de que la pantalla sea mas grande es pasándola a pantalla completa que seria Alt+Intro.
Mugen 1.0: en este puedes configurar la pantalla a tu gusto, lo que debes hacer es entrar a la carpeta data de tu mugen, luego abrir el archivo mugen.cfg y buscar la linea donde diga [Config], ejemplo:

Encontraras una parte donde diga:
GameWidth = 1280 ;Tamaño horizontal
GameHeight = 720 ;Tamaño vertical
estos los puedes modificar a tu gusto ya que son los que controlan el tamaño de la pantalla de tu mugen.
2. Para controlar la cantidad de casillas de tu mugen tienes que ir a la carpeta data y luego abrir el archivo system.def, luego buscas la linea que diga [Selec Info], en esta encontraras las siguientes lineas.
rows = 11 ;cantidad de casillas en la parte vertical
columns = 22 ;cantidad de casillas en la parte horizontal
hay tu las dejas a tu gusto.
